About The Happy Cyclist
Meet Chris
I have been privileged in cycling on the gravel tracks around the Ringwood, Burley and Brockenhurst areas for over 10 years. Come rain, sleet or a howling wind, more often than not, I can be found out on my mountain bike!
I'm a former tennis coach, qualified as a mountain bike leader, first aid trained and hold a permit from Forestry England.
Whether you want to start cycling again, a regular cyclist wanting to explore new routes or want to use cycling as another way of keeping fit, I'd love to hear from you.

My philosophy
Safety and care
The wellbeing of cyclists comes first, always.
Rides are designed to suit the group or individual and adapt on the day for weather, trail conditions and ability levels.
I am knowledgeable, experienced, level 2 qualified and first aid trained, so you can relax and enjoy the ride knowing in you're good hands.
Inclusive and fun
My rides are relaxed, social and rewarding - not rushed or intimidating.
Groups are small, set for a comfortable pace, breaks for refreshments and gentle cycling tips are offered along the way.
Whether it's your first time cycling in the forest or you're returning for more, my aim is simple: everyone finishes smiling.
Respect the Forest
The New Forest is a rare and protected landscape and home to some of the UK's rarest wildlife.
My rides are on permitted routes following the New Forest Cycling Code.
Along the way, it is important we slow down near ponies, horse riders, dogs, walkers and be courteous towards fellow cyclists.
